Had good time at London Design Festival? We visited designjunction last weekend! 

ロンドンデザインフェスティバルのイベント、 designjunctionに行ってきました。

たくさんの新しいデザインが広い会場にびっしり。サロンで使えそうなものもたくさんありました。会場内はこんな感じ。

Sleek d esk organisers at Another Country. We liked their timber framed booth too.

机の上の整理整頓に便利な小物。ナチュラルな素材使いが上手なこのブランド、ブースも木材のフレームで作られていて素敵でした。

back from summer holiday

We are back from our summer holiday in Southern Italy. We kept our life totally simple by only doing eating, drinking, swimming and sleeping. Missing that a lot already! 

少し前になりますが、休暇から戻りました。食べる、飲む、泳ぐ、寝る、の繰り返しを思う存分満喫してきました。写真を見るとまた戻りたくなってしまう！

Watching local people on streets was fun - kids playing with granny, women picking basil leaves, cutting vegetables, men playing games.... 

地元の人たちの観察がおもしろかったです。おばあちゃんと遊ぶ子供、バジルの葉を摘むおばさん、野菜の下ごしらえをする女性達、ゲームを楽しむ大人たち、などなど。

 

Beautiful, crystal-clear sea. 

Adriatic Sea tasted much saltier than seas in Japan! 

すっごく透き通った海、アドレア海は、日本の海よりもしょっぱかった！

BHC WILL BE ON SUMMER HOLIDAY

BHC will close from Thu 22nd to Mon 26th August for a summer holiday. We will be re-opening on Tue 27th August for usual salon hours. 

You can still contact us by email while we are away, please feel free to let us know if you want to make bookings. You might get slower-than-usual responses from us but we will try our best to come back to you as quick as we can.

Inspired by Jiro

New books have arrived from Japan! 
One of the books we've been especially waiting for is Sukiyabashi Jiro Makes Sushi of the Season - a book about the legendary sushi chef Jiro Ono and his way of making sushi. 

日本から本が届きました。
その中でも特に待ち望んでいた本、「すきやばし次郎　旬を握る」。言わずと知れた名寿司職人、小野二郎さんと、彼の寿司づくりについての本です。

Craftsmanship is one of the key words in our hairdressing, and it's always so inspirational to see people working with huge devotion and professionalism. Here is a clip of Jiro at work. Would love to visit his restaurant one day.....!

「職人」の姿勢は、わたしたちヘアスタイルを造る者たちの働き方にも通じるものがあります。自分のやりたい事をとことん真剣に、妥協せず、一生懸命取り組んでいる人たちを見るのは、とても気持ちがよく、良い刺激になります。
いつか、わたしたちもすきやばし次郎に行けることを夢見て…！

少し前になりますが、イラストレーターのFlorenceがあそびにきてくれました。
